HISTORICAL WRITING
For the past seven years, I've penned the weekly "Taiwan in Time" column for the Taipei Times, Taiwan's only print English newspaper. I look for events that have upcoming anniversaries, from the stone age to the modern era, and head to the library to find unusual or little-known aspects to detail.

I started writing about history for the local paper in a snowy, remote town in Wyoming. This effort culminated in a book, "Legendary Locals of Rawlins."
